# External contacts

External contacts allow you to create and manage a list of your colleagues who do not have a user account in mluvii, but still occasionally need to forward an incoming call to them.&#x20;

The External Contacts section allows you to:&#x20;

* create, edit, and delete external contacts&#x20;
* assign contacts to specific tenants&#x20;
* assign contacts to groups within individual tenants

Administrators will also meet External Contacts within the so-called [External Groups](https://docs.mluvii.com/en/for-administrators/tenant-management/settings/external-groups) and operators at the moment of [call forwarding](https://docs.mluvii.com/en/for-operators/client-interaction/ip-telephony#aab).
