# External contacts

External contacts allow you to create and manage a list of your colleagues who do not have a user account in mluvii, but still occasionally need to forward an incoming call to them.

The External Contacts section allows you to: 

* create, edit, and delete external contacts 
* assign contacts to specific tenants 
* assign contacts to groups within individual tenants

Administrators will also meet External Contacts within the so-called [External Groups](/en/for-administrators/tenant-management/settings/external-groups.md) and operators at the moment of [call forwarding](/en/for-operators/client-interaction/ip-telephony.md#aab).
