For your company to communicate with your customers via WhatsApp via mluvii, you first need to set up a WhatsApp Business Account (WABA). A WABA account is tied to a specific phone number and when you set it up, you can customize its name, logo, or other details that will be displayed to customers on your WhatsApp profile. To apply for a WABA account, you will need to add a few other details.

To activate your account you need:

  • a verified account

  • a Meta Business Manager administrator account, and

  • a

1. Login to Meta Business Manager

In the settings section, open the WhatsApp subsection

  • Here, click on the "New" button in the top right corner,

  • Facebook login screen will appear in a new window, where you can log in with your Facebook account,

You must be an administrator of a company instance of Meta Business Manager to continue!

  • here you select an instance of Meta Business Manager (it is possible that you have more than one),

  • further specific Business portfolio and finally select "Create WhatsApp account" and "Create WhatsApp profile".

2. Company profile

In the same window, fill in the following:

  • the official name of the company (the Display Name that clients see)

  • the industry in which you operate,

  • the company's website and any other information missing from the Meta Business Account.

3. Phone number & Verification method

In this step, you select an existing or new phone number from the menu. Below you select the verification method.

You have 2 options:

  • Phone call,

  • SMS

If possible, we recommend choosing SMS verification.

If the machine calls a phone number with an IVR tree, we recommend that you temporarily set the PBX level to forward the incoming call to your phone.

The "machine" will call from the phone number +441134679230 and immediately start dictating the 6-digit code over and over again.

Confirm your selection with the "Send verification code" button.

4. Final Verification & WhatsApp account setup

  • enter the code you received in the same window,

  • move back to the speech tab, where you assign routing and fill in the 6-digit PIN

  • finish the whole process by clicking the Save button (at this point you will see your WhatsApp account in the mluvii administration.

The PIN you choose is entered once and is only useful if you later migrate your WA phone number to another provider and can be changed if necessary.

The registered phone number must not be used within the mobile application or .
